Compassion Project

As of 1 January 2008 I began working on a variety of projects connected to the theme of compassion. 

As scientific director of the "Transforming Compassion" research project at Stiftelsen Arkivet, I will be overseeing the organization of seminars here in Kristiansand, Norway, sponsoring inter-religious dialogue among practitioners and theorists on the conditions that facilitate the emergence of empathic agency.

We are also exploring possibilities for dialogue on compassion among members of the International Society for Science and Religion and members of the Council for the Parliament of World Religions, leading up to a session at the Parliament in Melbourne 2009.
